Every year, MOAM collaborates with a charity to bring awareness to their cause. In the past, this has included Nationaal Comité 4 en 5 mei, Het Rode Kruis, and Orange Babies. This year MOAM collaborates with the World Nature Foundation (WNF) to raise awareness for Earth Hour. To do this, MOAM and WNF developed candle made of recycled old HEMA candles, to be made into the shape of the Earth. The candle is designed by MOAM and produced by foundation de Regenboog in Amsterdam.

Earth hour takes place on the 30th of March from 20:30 until 21:30 hours. The aim of Earth hour is to inspire people globally to make sustainable choices for our planet by encouraging encourages everyone to turn their lights off for one hour. This leads to the concept of the candle: the world is deteriorating so it’s time to take action.

We want to reach as many people as possible with this cause, and have already approached well-known Dutch figures among who Humberto Tan, Kim Feenstra, Katja Schuurman, Marco Borsato, Monica Geuze and Lieke van Lexmond to help us reach our goal.
