Every year, MOAM collaborates with a charity to bring awareness to their cause. In the past, this has included Nationaal Comité 4 en 5 mei, Het Rode Kruis, and Orange Babies. The past year, MOAM collaborated with the World Nature Foundation (WNF) on two projects: raising awareness for Earth Hour, and raising money for the bushfires in Australia.

In 2019, MOAM and WNF developed a candle made of recycled old HEMA candles, to be made into the shape of the Earth. The candle is designed by MOAM and produced by foundation de Regenboog in Amsterdam.

Earth hour takes place on the 30th of March from 20:30 until 21:30 hours. The aim of Earth hour is to inspire people globally to make sustainable choices for our planet by encouraging encourages everyone to turn their lights off for one hour. This leads to the concept of the candle: the world is deteriorating so it’s time to take action.

We want to reach as many people as possible with this cause, and have already approached well-known Dutch figures among who Humberto Tan, Kim Feenstra, Katja Schuurman, Marco Borsato, Monica Geuze and Lieke van Lexmond to help us reach our goal.

In 2020, MOAM and WNF worked together to create a t-shirt to help raise money and awareness for the bushfires in Australia. Young designer Tess van Zalinge designed a Koala print for the T-shirt.

In the last months, climate change and drought has severely affected the nature in Australia, causing enormous bushfires that has lead to the deaths of millions of animals. Koala’s in particular are on the verge of extinction, with nearly two thirds of its population burned to death. The heartbreaking situation is causing global participation in donating money and resources to help stop the bushfires.

To reach as many people as possible with the cause, we asked Dutch celebrities such as Gordon, Do, Wendy van Dijk, Fatima Moreira de Melo, Jim Bakkum, and Nellie Benner to help us in showing support.
